Membership of NATD can be taken by an individual or an institution. Membership runs for 12 months from the date on which it begins.

Each year members receive two complimentary copies of Natd's journal: The Journal for Drama in Education. This contains refereed articles sharing approaches to drama in education today. Any one issue may also contain book reviews, lesson plans, schemes of work and international reports.
